PhD candidates and Master Students in FRIC

This spring, 3 new PhD candidates start their work on various research topics in FRIC. We are happy to welcome the candidates, and will keep you updated on the progress of their work.

In WP2 Fire dynamics and modelling, Bima Putra started their research on the 1st of March 2020. The topic of the research is “Modelling of turbulent combustion in underventilated fires”.

In WP3 Building technology and design, Andreas Sæter Bøe started their research on the 1st of February 2020. The topic of the research is “Fire development in buildings with wooden structures and facades”.

In WP4 Fire Safety Measures and New Technology, a PhD position will be announced during 2020.

In an associated project to FRIC, Razieh Amiri (Rozita) started their research on the 1st of April 2020. The topic of the research is "Fire safety in dwellings”.

The PhD candidates will work closely with the other participants in FRIC, and with other PhD candidates and Master Students from NTNU and other universities, nationally and internationally.

In addition, we have three Master Students working in FRIC on projects related to fire safety in buildings, this spring. Student involvement is important for FRIC, and we welcome new students working on their student projects, bachelor- or master thesis in the years to come. If you would like to work on a student project connected to FRIC, don’t hesitate to contact us!
